This project has been consuming me; it's my entry for the typo theme garden.

The dictionary says concomitant is:
A phenomenon that naturally accompanies or follows something.
In this context, concomitant is the name of a minimalist theme for typo that flows with your content.
Theme Features
concomitant is composed of standards-compliant CSS/XHTML. The layout is table-less, created by absolute positioning of three main blocks: header, content & sidebar.
Fluid design scales to fit in the browser viewport & to fit contents' inherent size. Scalable text is supported for end-users using the built-in text-zoom feature of most browsers.
Alternate stylesheets provide four theme variations:
- high visibility (black & white)
- orange (default)
- blue
- green
An XHTML/JavaScript stylesheet switcher widget allows most users to select a style of their preference. (Some browsers [Firefox] already have a built-in selector.) Each user's style choice will stick using client-side cookies.
Choose which stylesheet is your blog's default by simply editing the view file layouts/default.rhtml (instructions therein).
Browser Compatibility
Tested on-screen in:
- Apple Safari 2.0.1
- Mozilla Firefox 1.0.7
- Opera 8.5
- Windows XP Internet Explorer 6
- Windows 98 Internet Explorer 5.5
Simple print.css (based on azure) is also provided, but it has been minimally tested.
Requires
typo version 4.0.2 or newer.
Download
concomitant typo Theme ~290KB source archive (v1.3.1, 2006-08-13).
Install
Just decompress the archive, drop it in your typo/themes directory, and select concomitant in your typo Theme admin panel.
History
- 2006-08-13 v1.3.1 now typo 4 compatible
- 2005-11-19 v1.3 removed link to the missing 'user-styles.css', which caused slow pages loads & sometimes partial loading of styles
- 2005-11-18 v1.2 now requires typo 2.6.0 (fixed theme/views compatibility); also tweaked the Green alternate style to be more green!
- 2005-10-29 v1.1 fixed rendering of live search in typo stable 2.5.6 (this unfortunately broke Live Search in typo svn)
- 2005-10-25 improved ordered/unordered list display (re-release as v1)
- 2005-10-24 v1 initial release
